My name is Sandra\u00a0Eberhard<\/strong>\u00a0and I’m a nurse<\/strong>. I graduated from the University of Basel (Switzerland), Bachelor of Chinese Medicine<\/strong> of the University of Wales (England) and graduated in Traditional Chinese Medicine of the University of Barcelona (ISMET)<\/p>\n

I have always had a great\u00a0interest in the field of health and well-being.<\/p>\n

Immediately after graduating as a nurse, I immigrated to Spain (Barcelona) and began my professional\u00a0career as a nurse in Spain. This has allowed me to deepen my knowledge in Western medicine.<\/p>\n

Observing, analysing and interacting with patients gave me the most satisfaction while working as a nurse, and inspired me to start complementing my knowledge with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which combines all of these aspects.<\/p>\n

It can almost be said that TCM builds on this concept and establishes a diagnosis or syndrome (imbalance of energy) accordingly. Therapy techniques, according to the diagnosis, are then individually adapted to the patient. This is one of the\u00a0concepts\u00a0that fascinates me most about TCM.<\/p>\n

In practice I attach great importance to not seeing Western and Eastern medicine as opposites, but instead to combine my knowledge and experience as both a nurse and TCM therapist.<\/p>\n

In the course of my career, I have gained a lot of experience in the combination of fertility treatment with acupuncture and treating people undergoing assisted reproduction.\u00a0I have been able to help a lot of people to realize their dream of becoming a parent.<\/p>\n

In the treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine, I think mental health is of great importance, because emotional balance helps us to\u00a0heal physically and mentally.<\/p>\n

“For Traditional Chinese Medicine, the physical,\u00a0mental\u00a0and spiritual body should not be seen as separate entities, one depends on the other and they need each other to be strong to fulfil their functions.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I also attach great importance to good digestion, because slow digestion makes it difficult for us to absorb food, an element essential to living and feeling strong. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the earth is the central element and also the element that nourishes other elements. The earth element is the spleen and the spleen is responsible for the digestive function. That’s why I named the project “Elemento Tierra”.<\/p>\n
